Nicho's Cause Annual Walk-A-Thon
Each year Nicho's Cause hosts a 5K Walk-A-Thon to spread awareness, Educate members of the community and raise donations for the foundation. They have balloon art, bounce houses, face painters, food and so much more. We usually have a few gusts speakers and a few news stations there to help us. We are always accepting volunteers for this event and it is kid friendly as well as liability friendly if you are not able to join the actual walk. It is usually an all day event and we raise between $2,500-$5,000 for the foundation each year.
Annual Celebration of Life
When Nicho passed, he was so healthy we were lucky enough to be able to donate his heart valves. With that Intermountain Donor Services has a Celebration of Life Monument Center downtown and each year, they hold an annual celebration for all donors and etches their names into a glass wall.
We go there and have a balloon release for Nicho and to celebrate the life that one of his valves has since saved and pray that soon his valves will be used to save another baby.
On March 6th, 2019 Taylor, founder of Nicho's Cause received an Email from Intermountain Donor Serves notifying her that Nicho's Pulmonary heart valve was used. A newborn little girl in Florida received the valve and it saved her life.
